A Weekend Getaway Day 3: Nkhudzi Bay, Mangochi, Malawi

Go on and start from Day 1 here and Day 2 here then come back here to wind up.

We got up before sunrise again on our last day and went to the beach front to wait for the sun to rise

After all the photos we went back in to listen to a Sermon for our Sunday Service. We listened to Mary's Belief 59-0409 by Reverend William M. Branham and it was such a beautiful conclusion to our trip. We were sooo blessed.

Departure.

It was MK500 each by motor bike to the Nkhudzi Bay stage where we waited for several minutes to get on a Sienta/Taxi to Mangochi. The stage felt so deserted when we had waited for a few minutes and I wondered if we were going to get any public service vehicle from there or if we'd have to go up to Monkey Bay Depot to get one. But a silver sienta/taxi finally came and we paid MK1,500 each to get to Mangochi.

In Mangochi we found a minibus with only a few seats left to fill to depart and we did some quick shopping in a nearby mini supermarket for some road trip essentials (water, juice, biscuits)

Then it was home sweet home and back to cooking and all that routine home life. I think the hardest part about taking a fun trip is getting back into the house and finding motivation to fall back into the norm of everyday life again.

It certainly won't make me stop taking trips though :)

This was an experience to remember and we had a great time!

Cheers!
